Makar Sankranti Celebrations at Our School
Makar Sankranti, one of the most significant festivals of the Hindu religion, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school. Observed on the 14th or 15th of January each year, this festival holds immense cultural importance and is celebrated across the country with various names and customs.
To mark the occasion, our students created vibrant and beautiful Rangolis, making the day even more auspicious. The school campus was adorned with these artistic designs, reflecting the joy of the festival.
The festivities continued with lively activities such as dancing and singing, spreading an atmosphere of cheer among everyone. The highlight of the day was the delicious festive treats made with sesame seeds and jaggery, which were shared among students and staff.
A special tradition of Makar Sankranti—kite flying—was also organized. Watching colourful kites soar across the sky symbolized the joy and happiness this festival brings into our lives.
Overall, the celebration was a memorable experience that brought everyone together to cherish the spirit of Makar Sankranti.
